Kings Wharf, Bermuda Cruise Port
Kings Wharf port is the third port in the island of Bermuda. It is located in the Ireland Island, on the western tip of Bermuda. It is also the port of choice for bigger ships that docks in the island. The Kings Wharf, Bermuda has a rich history that dates back in the 1814; it was built for the British Navy naval ships, and referred to as the West End or the Royal Naval Dockyard of Bermuda. It is once dubbed as the “Gibraltar of the West” because it was used as a base to launch a raid in Washington D.C. using thousands of prisoners. In World War I and II, it served as the north Atlantic base during those eras. Today the kings wharf Bermuda, serves as a testament to Bermuda’s rich cultural heritage.
